#1 We are renovating a 15c Medieval cottage and slowly removing the "involuntary vandalism" perpetrated in the 1960s. There is a lot of work but we enjoy it and we are in this for the long haul! The house is chock full of old oak beams that were painted and also filled during the 60s.
